About

Mercia Motor Sports was founded in 1996 following discussions, initially between Jaguar Apprentices Motor Club, Coventry and Warwickshire Motor Club, Warwickshire Drivers Motor Club (then known as Club Triumph Warwickshire), and Rugby Motor Club. These midland based motor clubs worked together to promote grass root motor sports and help organise events in the area. Unfortunately, only Coalville Car Club and Rugby Motor Club exist today but they are still very active in organising events.

Mercia Motor Sports organise a range of events which include the Summer Series of Evening Autotests; Winter series of 12 car rallies; the Mercian Road Rally and recently, the Bob Budd Memorial Targa Road Rally.
